New Jersey Statutes Title 39. Motor Vehicles and Traffic Regulation 39 § 5H-22

A transportation network company shall require an applicant's personal vehicle to be used to provide a prearranged ride to meet the motor vehicle inspection requirements pursuant to R.S.39:8-1 prior to permitting the applicant to log on to its digital network as a transportation network company driver or to provide a prearranged ride as a transportation network company driver. A transportation network company shall require a transportation network company driver to maintain a valid inspection certificate of approval for the driver's personal vehicle used to provide prearranged rides.
