New Jersey Statutes Title 39. Motor Vehicles and Traffic Regulation 39 § 3-6.18

The Division of Motor Vehicles or its designee shall perform motor carrier audits of the operational records of carrier accounts registered in New Jersey in accordance with the International Registration Plan Agreement and, upon the completion of any such audit, shall notify each jurisdiction in which the registrant is apportioned of the accuracy of the records of the registrant.
