Every identification card authorized by section 2 of P.L.1980, c. 47 (C.39:3-29.3) shall bear a color photograph of the person to whom it is issued and shall be issued upon the form prescribed by the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission for color photograph drivers' licenses, except that the card shall prominently contain the words “For Identification Only.” A standard identification card shall indicate that the identification card shall not be accepted as identification for an official purpose, as that term is defined under the “REAL ID Act of 2005,” Pub.L.109-13, any acts amendatory or supplementary thereto, and any federal regulations adopted thereunder.
