New Jersey Statutes Title 34. Labor and Workmen's Compensation 34 § 6A-44

The Attorney General, at the request of and on behalf of the commissioner, may bring an action in the Superior Court to restrain any conditions or practices in any workplace which the commissioner determines, in accordance with section 17 of this act,  1 are such that a danger exists which could reasonably be expected to cause death or serious physical harm. Any order issued under this act may require such steps to be taken as may be necessary to avoid, correct or remove such imminent danger and prohibit the employment or presence of any individual in locations or under conditions where such imminent danger exists.
