It is the public policy of this State to safeguard the health and well-being of its citizens, and to ensure the respectful and consensual disposition and use of human bodies and parts donated for education, research, and the advancement of medical, dental, or mortuary science. The need for and use of such anatomical gifts for education, research, and the advancement of medical, dental, or mortuary science is of sufficient frequency so as to require that minimum standards for anatomical research recovery organizations be established.
