On or before the tenth day of each month, the State Department of Health shall certify to the supervisor of veterans' interment in each of the respective counties of the State, the name of each deceased veteran and of each deceased member of the American Merchant Marine who served during World War II and is declared by the United States Department of Defense to be eligible for federal veterans' benefits for whom a certificate of death, in which the place of burial, cremation or removal is stated as being within such county, has been filed with the State Department of Health during the preceding month, together with the date and place of burial, cremation or removal of such deceased veteran, and the war in which said deceased veteran served.
