The act shall be known and may be cited as the “Narcotic and Drug Abuse Control Act of 1969.” It shall be the purpose and intent of this act to establish a single agency capable of unifying all efforts in a comprehensive program to control drugs, the use of which may cause a substance use disorder, and to combat the effects of substance use disorders involving drugs.
