The Department of Health shall be the single State agency designated by the State as the agency primarily responsible for the treatment of intoxicated persons and persons with alcohol use disorder. All activities, projects or programs for alcohol use disorder treatment and rehabilitation, funded or carried out by any department or political subdivision of the State shall be in compliance with the comprehensive State plan required by section 5 of P.L.1975, c. 305 (C.26:2B-11).
