The State, the several counties and municipalities may establish service forces to assist the police in accordance with the provisions of section 9 of this act. 1 Such service forces may be a part of police department, or may be a separate unit. Members of the force shall be trained to carry out certain responsibilities of the police, as these are set out in section 10, 2 particularly with respect to the administration of first aid to intoxicated persons in need of medical assistance.
