New Jersey Statutes Title 18A. Education 18A § 7A-51

Upon the preparation of its budget, the State district superintendent shall fix a date, place and time for the holding of a public hearing upon the budget and the amounts of money necessary to be appropriated for the use of the public schools for the ensuing school year, and the various items and purposes for which the same are to be appropriated, which hearing shall be held between March 22 and March 29. Notice of the hearing, contents of the notice and the format and purpose of the hearing shall be as provided in N.J.S.18A:22-11, N.J.S.18A:22-12 and N.J.S.18A:22-13.
