a. There is established in the Department of Education a non-lapsing fund which shall be known as the Mental Health Screening in Schools Grant Program Fund. All monies appropriated annually by the Legislature, federal and other grants received by the State, and any other monies made available for the purposes of the fund shall be deposited in the fund. Monies deposited in the fund shall be used by the Department of Education to provide funding for grants awarded pursuant to section 2 of this act. 1
b. A school district may seek to secure funds or other resources from the federal government or from private nonprofit or for-profit sources as may be available, to supplement funds received pursuant to the Mental Health Screening in Schools Grant Program Fund. These funds shall not have any impact on the availability of funding received under the Mental Health Screening in Schools Grant Program.
