The provisions of this chapter shall not apply to any corporation carrying on the business of life, health or accident insurance, for profit or gain, nor to fraternal beneficiary associations as defined in section 17:39-1 of the Revised Statutes. 1 Any hospital service corporation authorized to transact business pursuant to this chapter shall be exempt from all other provisions of Title 17 of the Revised Statutes except as herein specified.
