The Division of Water Policy and Supply 1 shall be under the immediate supervision of a director, who shall be a person qualified by training and experience to direct the work of such division. The director of such division shall be appointed by the Governor, with the advice and consent of the Senate, and shall serve during the term of office of the Governor appointing him and until the director's successor is appointed and has qualified. He shall receive such salary as shall be provided by law.
The director shall administer the work of such division under the direction and supervision of the commissioner, and shall perform such other functions of the department as the commissioner may prescribe.
