6. In case such owner or owners, mortgagee or mortgagees, lienor or lienors, or other persons interested so served with the notice herein provided for under the provisions of this act and of the act to which this is a supplement, shall fail to redeem the said lands from said tax sale within six months from the service of such order and notice, and pay all taxes, assessments, water rents and water rates subsequently assessed and levied upon the said lands, that then the said owner or owners, mortgagee or mortgagees, lienor or lienors or other persons interested shall be absolutely barred from the right to redeem under this act and the act to which this is a supplement, and the said circuit court shall, at any time after the period of six months shall have elapsed, upon proof of compliance with this act, make a rule or order absolutely barring the right to redeem hereunder to the said owner or owners, mortgagee or mortgagees, lienor or lienors, or other persons interested, so served under the provisions of this act.
