13. The conveyance of lands pursuant to the provisions of this act shall convey the same free and clear from any estate or right of dower, or of curtesy therein; provided, that notice shall have been given to the person having such estate of dower or right of curtesy in the manner provided by this act; and in case the first or Christian name of such person is unknown, such person may be made party to the proceedings by using in the case of a dowress the name of her husband with the prefix “Mrs.” and where the title is in the wife the prefix “Mr.” before the surname of the wife, followed by the words “husband of”, using the name of the wife; and provided, that proof of inquiry for such first or Christian name shall be presented to the court on the return day of the order to show cause.
