6. All persons claiming an interest in or mortgage upon any lands heretofore or hereafter sold as provided in the act to which this is a supplement, by or through any deed, conveyance, mortgage, assignment, or other instrument which by any provision of law may be or might have been recorded, registered, entered or filed in any public office in this state, and which had not or which shall not have been so recorded, registered, entered or filed on or before the day on which notice as provided in the act to which this is a supplement was served, or shall have been served, upon the person or persons, by, through or under whom any such interest is, was or may be claimed, shall be bound by the proceedings had and notices given under the provisions of said act, so far as said property is concerned, from and after the date of filing proof of service thereof, in the same manner as if such persons had been duly served with the notice mentioned in the sixth section of said act; provided, proof of such service of notice to redeem shall be made and filed or shall have been made and filed as provided in said act.
