1. That the seven townships of Camden, Waterford, Newton, Union, Delaware, Gloucester, and Washington, now composing a part of the county of Gloucester, be, and the said townships are hereby erected into a separate county, named, and hereafter to be called the county of Camden, and the inhabitants of each and every of the said townships respectively shall be and they and each of them are hereby vested with, entitled unto, and hereby authorized to exercise and enjoy all the franchises, powers, privileges, immunities and authority, and shall be, and hereby are made subject to all the rules, regulations and government which the other townships in this state by law are entitled and subject to.
