2. That the present trustees or members of the governing board of said village, by whatsoever name or names they or said board may be entitled or designated, shall hold their positions and administer the government of and represent said village as at present provided until the expiration of the term for which they were elected, and until their successors shall be elected and organized as hereinafter provided.
