2. Any city adopting this act shall succeed to all the right, title and interest in property, of every kind, nature or description, which was owned, held or enjoyed by the municipality of which it is the successor. All ordinances and resolutions of the city to the extent they are not inconsistent with the provisions of this act shall remain in full force and effect until modified or repealed as provided by law. All contracts, bonds and other obligations heretofore entered into by any city adopting this act shall remain in full force and effect.
