3. That the amount so ascertained together with the expenses attending the same, shall be paid by the manager or managers of the meadow company, in thirty days after notice of such decision shall be served on him or them, to the owner or owners of the soil; and if he or they neglect or refuse to pay the same, the said owner or owners may maintain an action against him or them therefor, in any court having competent jurisdiction; provided, always, that the amount so paid by the said manager or managers, shall be allowed to him or them in the settlement of his or their accounts with the meadow company.
