10. That if, from any cause, an election for directors shall not be had at the time when the same should have been held, the said company shall not be deemed dissolved thereby, but said election may be held at any other time by giving ten days' notice thereof in some newspaper published in said county; and until such election be had, the directors and officers elected at the preceding election shall continue to hold over and until others are elected in their stead.
