A person, firm, or corporation desiring to engage in geophysical exploration within the state of Montana shall file a notice of intention to engage in the exploration with the county clerk and recorder in each county in which exploration is to be carried on or engaged in. The notice shall be filed prior to the actual commencement of the exploration.
