The county clerk and recorder shall return to the county auditor, within 10 days after the adjournment of each session of the board of county commissioners, a list of the claims allowed or rejected, either in whole or in part, by them. This list must be recorded by the auditor in a book kept for that purpose and carefully preserved in the auditor's office.
