(1) If a majority of the votes cast on the question of dissolving the resort area district are in favor of dissolving the resort area district, the board of county commissioners shall enter into its minutes an order, by resolution, dissolving the resort area district. The resolution must contain, explicitly or by reference, an orderly plan of dissolution.
(2) Immediately following adoption of the resolution dissolving the resort area district, the board of county commissioners shall file with the secretary of state and the county clerk and recorder a copy of the resolution.
(3) The resort area district is dissolved as provided in the plan of dissolution.
