Montana Title 7. Local Government § 7-4-2514. Filing required to receive salary

The board of county commissioners may not order the payment of the salary of any officer until the officer has filed the duplicate receipt with the county clerk, properly signed by the treasurer, showing that the officer has made the statement and settlement for that month as required in this part.
