The person or persons or corporation or corporations with whom said contract shall have been made shall execute their or its bond or bonds, with sufficient sureties, to such board of county commissioners or city or town, conditioned for the full and faithful performance of all the terms and conditions on their part. The terms, conditions, and penalty of the surety bond shall be approved by the contracting board or council. The surety bond or bonds shall be in full force and effect upon the ratification of the contract as provided in this part, the condition of which shall be expressed in the contract.
