The manager shall act as chief conservator of the peace within the municipality, supervise the administration of the affairs of the municipality, see that the ordinances of the municipality and the laws of the state are enforced, make recommendations to the commission concerning the affairs of the municipality, keep the commission advised of the financial conditions and future needs of the municipality, prepare and submit to the commission reports that may be required by that body, and perform other duties that may be prescribed by part 13 or this part or be required by ordinance or resolution of the commission.
