Montana Title 7. Local Government § 7-21-4205. Licensing and regulating of vehicles engaged in transporting persons and property

The city or town council has power to license and regulate automobiles, trucks, hackney carriages, carts, omnibuses, wagons, and drays and to fix the rate to be charged for the carriage of persons and property within the city or town and to the public works and property without the limits of the city or town.
