(1) The board of county commissioners of any county may appropriate money from the general fund of the county for advertising the agricultural resources of the county through the department of agriculture or for assisting the department of agriculture in presenting exhibits of Montana products at fairs or expositions outside the state.
(2) Said money shall be expended in such manner as the board may direct or may be transmitted to the department of agriculture, when such appropriation is for the purpose of assisting said department in advertising the resources or presenting the exhibits herein indicated.
