(1) Each person elected or appointed to fill an office of a new county under the provisions of this part shall qualify in the manner provided by law for that officer, except as otherwise provided in this part, and shall enter upon the discharge of the duties of the office within the time provided in this part after the receipt of the certificate of election.
(2) Each of the officers may take the oath of office before any officer authorized by the laws of Montana to administer oaths.
(3) The bond of any officer from which a bond is required must be approved by a judge of the district court of the district to which the new county is attached for judicial purposes.
