Montana Title 7. Local Government § 7-12-4504. Responsibility and liability of property owners following abandonment of district

(1) Following passage of the resolution of abandonment, it shall be the duty of all property owners owning property abutting said district to maintain such portion thereof abutting their property.

(2) Such abandonment, however, shall not relieve the property owners from the assessment and payment of a sufficient amount to liquidate all charges existing against said district prior to the date of abandonment.
