A person who is the registered owner of a motor vehicle, truck, motor home, trailer, motorcycle, quadricycle, or other vehicle for the owner's personal use may upon payment of the fee prescribed in 61-3-406 apply to the department for personalized license plates in the manner prescribed in 61-3-405. The plates must be affixed to the vehicle for which registration is sought in lieu of the license plates numbered as provided in 61-3-332.
