Montana Title 53. Social Services and Institutions § 53-21-1206. Treatment and discharge plan--safety--rights

(1) For each respondent admitted as an inpatient to a mental health facility for short-term inpatient treatment pursuant to 53-21-1205 and this section, the provisions of 53-21-162 and 53-21-180 apply, except as follows:

(2) Short-term inpatient treatment must be provided in a manner that considers the safety of the respondent, other patients, staff, and the general public.

(3) A respondent in a mental health facility for short-term inpatient treatment is entitled to all of the rights and protections provided in part 1 of this chapter.
