(1) Each of the following institutions, correctional facilities, or other facilities having the charge or custody of a person convicted of arson or of a person acquitted of arson on the ground of mental disease or disorder shall give written notification to the department of justice when the person is admitted or released by it:
(a) the Montana state hospital;
(b) a state prison;
(c) a Montana correctional facility housing youth; or
(d) a county or city detention facility.
(2) The notification must disclose:
(a) the name of the person;
(b) where the person is or will be located; and
(c) the type of fire the person was involved in.
