The legislature established in Article V, section 1, of the Montana constitution and the committees established by law constitute the legislative branch. The functional organization of the legislative branch is governed by the joint rules of the legislature and the laws governing the several components of the branch. The administrative organization of the legislative branch is consolidated as provided in this part.
