Montana Title 5. Legislative Branch § 5-2-222. Powers and duties of officers

The president and president pro tempore of the senate and the speaker and speaker pro tempore of the house of representatives may administer the oath of office to any senator or representative and to the officers and employees of their respective bodies. The officers and employees must perform such duties as are required by the rules or orders of the respective bodies which elect them.
