Montana Title 5. Legislative Branch § 5-12-401. Submission of budget amendments to committee

All budget amendments for state agencies must be submitted through the budget director to the legislative finance committee as soon as received by the budget director. No state agency shall expend in excess of its legislative appropriation, which includes a lawfully approved and valid budget amendment.
