(1) Pneumoconiosis is an occupational disease that is compensable under this part. However, any benefits granted a claimant under this chapter for pneumoconiosis must be reduced, but not below zero, by an amount equal to the benefits granted the claimant under any program under federal law that pays benefits for a claimant suffering disability from pneumoconiosis.
(2) “Pneumoconiosis” means a chronic dust disease of the lungs arising out of employment in coal mines and includes anthracosis, coal workers' pneumoconiosis, silicosis, or anthracosilicosis arising out of employment.
