This chapter may not be construed to restrain or restrict any legally licensed physician or surgeon or any legally licensed osteopath in the practice of those professions. The practice of chiropractic as defined in this chapter is declared not to be the practice of medicine or surgery within the meaning of the laws of the state of Montana defining medicine and surgery and is further declared not to be the practice of osteopathy within the meaning of the laws of the state of Montana defining osteopathy. Licensed chiropractors are not subject to the provisions of this title pertaining to the practice of osteopathy or liable to any prosecution under those provisions.
