The secretary shall perform all the duties of a secretary of a corporation and shall, in addition, keep a record of interments in which the secretary shall enter as correctly and carefully as may be the name, age, sex, as defined in 1-1-201, place of birth, and cause of death with date of burial of every person interred in the cemetery. The secretary shall procure these facts from friends or relatives of the deceased or the undertaker that gives the order for interment at that time or, if the deceased is a pauper, a stranger, or criminal, from the coroner, physician, or other public officer directing the burial of the deceased.
