Any person, company, corporation, or association and any officer, member, agent, or employee thereof violating any or either of the provisions of 31-1-301 to 31-1-308, both inclusive, shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be liable to a fine in the sum of not less than $100 or more than $500 for each offense or to imprisonment in the county jail for a period not to exceed 90 days, or both, and in addition thereto the debt and accrued interest thereon shall be discharged and the security shall be void.
