In all cases when, under the provisions of this chapter, a purchaser of property at execution sale is entitled to a conveyance of the property, the conveyance must be executed to the purchaser by the officer who made the sale if the officer is still in office, but if the officer who made the sale is not in office at the time the purchaser may be entitled to the conveyance, then the conveyance must be executed by the officer's successor in office.
