Montana Title 19. Public Retirement Systems § 19-1-823. Certification by governor

On the department's notification that a majority of votes in the referendum were cast in favor of participation in social security, the governor, through the department, shall certify to the commissioner of social security that the conditions set forth in section 218 of the Social Security Act, 42 U.S.C. 418, have been complied with in respect to the retirement system voting in the referendum.
