Montana Title 19. Public Retirement Systems § 19-1-502. Approval of plan and agreement by department

(1) A plan and agreement and any amendment of the plan and agreement must be approved by the department if the administrator finds that the plan and agreement, or an amendment to the plan and agreement, are in conformity with the department's requirements.

(2) The department may not finally refuse to approve a plan and agreement submitted by a political subdivision under 19-1-501 and may not terminate an approved plan and agreement without reasonable notice and opportunity for hearing to the affected political subdivision.
