Montana Title 17. State Finance § 17-3-304. Duplicate of agreement--filing--receipt for tax

A duplicate copy of every agreement for payment of sums in lieu of taxes shall be filed in the office of the treasurer of this state. On or before the date on which any payment of sums in lieu of taxes is due, the state treasurer shall present a bill to the United States in the name of the state in the amount of such payment. The state treasurer shall give to the United States a receipt in the name of the state for all payments of sums in lieu of taxes.
