Upon payment of a fee, the board may issue a temporary permit to practice respiratory care for a period of six (6) months to an applicant for licensing who is a student in an approved respiratory care education program who expects to graduate within the next thirty (30) calendar days and who is eligible to sit for the CRT, RRT, or their successor examination. Any increase in the fee charged by the board under this section shall be in accordance with the provisions of Section 41-3-65.
