Such election shall be held, as far as is practicable, in the same manner as other elections are held in counties. At such election, all qualified electors of such counties may vote, and the ballots used at such election shall have printed thereon the words “FOR BEING INCLUDED IN THE PEARL RIVER VALLEY WATER SUPPLY DISTRICT” and “AGAINST BEING INCLUDED IN THE PEARL RIVER VALLEY WATER SUPPLY DISTRICT”; and the voter shall vote by placing a cross (x) or check mark (✓) opposite his choice on the proposition. In any particular county, should a majority of the qualified electors voting in such election in such county vote in favor of the creation of the Pearl River Valley Water Supply District, then that county shall become a part of the water supply district. The chancery court of the First Judicial District of Hinds County, or the chancellor thereof in vacation, shall thereupon enter a final order including such county in the district. In any particular county, should a majority of the qualified electors voting in such election in such county vote against being included in the Pearl River Valley Water Supply District, then that county shall not become a part of the water supply district.
