Qualified students for the classes or courses may be accepted by the schools from any source, but priority of enrollment will be given referrals from the Department of Child Protection Services, state employment service, vocational rehabilitation, and nonretired veterans. The state employment service will assist with student job placement and referral whenever possible.
For the purposes of Sections 37-31-101 through 37-31-111, a qualified student is an adult, at least eighteen (18) years old, who is underemployed or unemployed and is not enrolled in school.
Students will not be eligible if they have dropped out of regular school for the specific purpose of enrolling in the manpower programs.
