After completing the sales, the sheriff shall report his proceedings to the court, with a description to the different parcels of the land sold, the name of the purchaser and the price bid, which report shall be filed in the court; he shall also file in the clerk's office an accurate statement of all moneys received, and all costs and expenses paid or incurred in the transaction of the business including the costs for extending or compiling an abstract or abstracts of title to such land or lands, and the court shall allow such as are legal and reasonable.
