Notwithstanding any other law to the contrary, no victim of the crime of domestic assault, as defined in sections 565.072 to 565.074, no victim of the crime of stalking, as defined in section 565.225, and no victim, as defined in section 595.010, shall be required to pay the costs associated with the filing of criminal charges against the offender, or the costs associated with the filing, issuance, registration or service of a warrant, protection order, petition for protection order or witness subpoena.
